Grades K-3

This pathway allows students to understand how scientists do research. Putting this knowledge into action means students can look at the research of a scientist and answer the questions: What did the scientist ask? What did the scientist do? What did the scientist learn?

This pathway covers the skills necessary for students to do scientific inquiry. That includes asking scientific questions, stating predictions, using appropriate tools and technologies to gather data, identifying major sources of uncertainty within an investigation, constructing and revising scientific explanations, and communicating results.
