Prehistoric Journey

Travel through time—starting 3.5 billion years ago. Your journey begins beneath ancient seas. Life diversifies as you move through the millennia, surrounded by fearsome fish and waving sea lilies.

Soon you're out of the water and the air is filled with huge dragonflies. Foot-long centipedes crawl around you. Then the dinosaurs appear!  Observe scientists as they study and prepare fossils using modern technology to decipher the past.  Locate Dr. Johnson's video about his research into the KT Boundary.

Egyptian Mummies

Museum scientists collaborated with doctors at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center to take a look inside two mummies using X rays and CT scans. Find out what lies beneath their linen wrappings and discover the ancient practices that have preserved these human remains through the centuries.
