The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is hosting a summer internship position in their Health Sciences’ molecular biology lab, collaborating with Dr. Nicole Garneau, curator of human health. The selected candidate will be given an independent project studying how genetics affect an individual’s taste to complete. This unpaid internship will allow for a flexible schedule, requiring only two days of laboratory time a week over a period of eight weeks. The program will conclude with the creation of a poster to present at the Museum’s annual summer intern poster symposium on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

Apply now! The CBSA Internship Program is open to students who to students who are working towards either an undergraduate or graduate degree. Each applicant must demonstrate an interest in science through their application, essay, and interview as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor. Students also should have leadership experience and good academic background.

Applications must be received by Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 5 pm: To apply, submit a completed application and a personal essay. A letter of recommendation from a mentor or teacher must be sent separately directly from the recommender. Interview dates and times are to be determined.
