Teen Science Scholars work with scientists and collections staff on real Museum projects! This hands-on internship program is designed to inspire high school students who are interested in pursuing science-related careers, particularly teens from groups underrepresented in the sciences. (e.g., individuals who are Hispanic, Latino, African American, and Native American). Each summer, Scholars are engaged in various aspects of Museum research and/or collections work that strengthens their investigative and communication skills. They develop a peer network of students from across metro Denver and beyond. The Scholars share their scientific work and their experiences during a Showcase at the end of the summer.
This is a paid internship. Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year, and interested in a science-related career.
The application period has ended for 2017. Check back in January for information on the 2018 Teen Science Scholars program!
