K12 Inc. Sponsors Ice Age Spectacular

K12 Inc., America's leader in K-12 online learning, believes all children deserve a great education. Because of this commitment, K12 proudly supports the Denver Museum of Nature & Science's mission to inspire an interest in science among children of all ages, particularly through the summer event Ice Age Spectacular and the Earth Day Celebration last spring.

"We are great believers in bringing science alive for our students, and we sponsor numerous field trips to science museums every year," said Karen Spiegelthal, vice president of K12. "Our science curriculum is innovative, including amazing virtual labs, plus plenty of hands-on activities with microscopes and other equipment. In addition, we are a public-spirited institution that supports community events and causes that help children live healthy lives and develop their full potential. So we are pleased to be partnering with the Museum to offer science programs for children."

To date, K12 has partnered with 28 states and Washington, D.C., to provide public, tuition-free learning options. In Colorado, K12's partner is the Colorado Virtual Academy (COVA), which has served students statewide since 2001.

The K12 program is highly individualized for children in grades K-12 and has been proven to help children learn, thrive, and reach their academic goals. The pace and schedule are designed to be flexible to meet the challenges of today's families. Experienced, certified teachers provide expert instruction and support. In addition to public schools, K12 also has online private schools, and 240 courses for individual purchase. Find out more at www.k12.com.
