Temporary Exhibits Volunteer

Be a permanent part of the temporary exhibits team! The Temporary Exhibits Volunteer Program is accepting applicants for the Sunday Afternoon Temporary Exhibit team. Temporary Exhibit Volunteers facilitate educational programs and provide visitor services support for the Museum's rotating exhibitions. This is a great role for someone looking for a fast-paced, team environment, with an emphasis on life-long learning and visitor engagement.  In 2011, Temporary Exhibit Volunteer opportunities ranged from Real Pirates to T. Rex Encounter.

Required Skills: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.

Training: Staff will train. Training for the next exhibit will begin in January and the next exhibit will be open to the public from February 3 - July 8, 2012.

Schedule: Shift is every Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, or every other Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, 12:30-5 p.m. Every Friday or every other Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. during the run of an exhibition

Minimum Commitment: One exhibit (Feb 3-July 8 2012)

Age Requirements: Available to adult volunteers

Please remember that volunteer placement is a selective process and not all applicants are accepted into the program. The Museum reserves the right to place volunteers in the area staff feels is best suited to the applicant's skills and the needs of the Museum. A minimum commitment of one year is required for all volunteer positions.
