How and when did modern humans spread across the globe? Museum research associate and University of Colorado Denver assistant professor Julien Riel-Salvatore will discuss the routes and settlement of Homo sapiens as they dispersed from Africa to areas in Europe, North America, and beyond. Riel-Salvatore, whom you may have heard interviewed on Colorado Public Radio, will use the archaeological record to provide insight into how humans who lived between 10,000–50,000 years ago interacted with and adapted to their new environments.
