Bird Walk: Rocky Mountain National Park

“Rocky Park,” as it is affectionately called by Coloradans, is one of the premier birding destinations in the state, with an exciting variety of habitats ranging from foothills to alpine “tundra.” Spend a day in the park searching for a wide variety of birds, from numerous species of woodpeckers in the vast coniferous forests to white-tailed ptarmigan in the treeless alpine terrain.
