Solar Power Interactive

The Museum is tapping into abundant Colorado sunshine for a portion of its power needs, thanks to our roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system.  It consists of 465 solar panels split between roofs on the southeast and southwest wings of the Museum.  If you’d like to know how much energy our panels are producing or how solar energy works, click on the interactive web-based monitoring system below.

The photovoltaic array at the Museum was made possible through a collaboration of several community leaders in renewable energy, including Hybrid Energy Group, Partnership for Sustainability, Xcel Energy’s Solar*Rewards program, and Namasté Solar Electric.
