The Museum is tapping into abundant Colorado sunshine for a portion of its power needs, thanks to our roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system. It consists of 465 solar panels split between roofs on the southeast and southwest wings of the Museum. The photovoltaic array at the Museum was made possible through a collaboration of several community leaders in renewable energy, including Hybrid Energy Group, Partnership for Sustainability, Xcel Energy’s Solar*Rewards program, and Namasté Solar Electric.
