Part of the Museum's collectionsBecause there are 270,000 square feet of exhibits and dioramas in the Museum, you’d never guess that 98 percent of the collections are stored out of view! Leave your preconceptions at the door as you learn what made the greatest conqueror in the world tick. You’ll also get a sneak peek of Mongolian objects in the Museum collection that have never been displayed to the general public.

Gates Planetarium Tour


In this exclusive tour of Gates Planetarium with space sciences curator Ka Chun Yu and planetarium operations manager Dan Neafus, you’ll learn about how this state-of-the-art digital facility works, from the edge-blended projectors that illuminate the dome to the multiple visualization computer clusters that can play back “full dome” movies and showcase cutting-edge real-time scientific visualizations.
