The Dodge Collection

The Dodge Collection consists of 66 American Indian objects dating from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as archival material—notes, photographs, and memorabilia—relating to Homer Levi Dodge and the objects he collected. Dr. Dodge was graduate dean and chair of the Department of Physics at the University of Oklahoma.

During frequent travels across the American Southwest, Dodge and his family spent a great deal of time collecting and documenting select pieces of Native American material culture, some of which are no longer made. Once properly inventoried and organized, the Alice Dodge Wallace Collection will prove useful to students, anthropologists, artists, and art collectors. The project is funded by Alice Dodge Wallace.
