Sandi Garcia

Sandi Garcia is vice president of finance and chief financial officer at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Her office is responsible for budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, management reporting, treasury functions, risk management, and legal review/compliance.

She joined the Museum in 2006 with more than 15 years of experience in audit, accounting, and management consulting. From 1990 to 2004, she worked for Arthur Andersen LLP as an auditor, consultant, and manager. She then became manager of accounting at UNAVCO, Inc., in Boulder, a scientific non-profit corporation that supports and promotes earth science. Most recently, she worked as chief financial officer at the Community College of Denver.

Sandi is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs. She has served on the board of INROADS/Colorado and the National INROADS Alumni Association of which she is past vice chair. She received her B.B.S. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a dual emphasis in accounting and information systems.
