50 Volunteers Still Needed to Assist with
THE QUEST FOR IMMORTALITY: TREASURES OF ANCIENT EGYPT
EXTENSIVE TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS BEGINS AUGUST 2
DENVER—July 12, 2004—If you’re interested in supporting local culture and enjoy interacting with people, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science needs your help as a volunteer. The Museum will host an exceptional exhibition entitled The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt from September 10–January 23. It features the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts ever displayed in North America and a life-size reconstruction of a pharaoh’s burial chamber. Its size and scope will require the assistance of 385 volunteers.
The Museum already has 335 Egypt volunteers on board but needs an additional 50 volunteers to serve as greeters, way-finders and coat-check helpers. Benefits include fun, informative training by the Museum’s customer service staff, scientists and Egypt experts, as well as other special offers and opportunities for volunteers. Training sessions for The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt begin Monday, August 2.
If you’d rather volunteer to assist with permanent exhibitions, the Museum is also looking for 125 volunteers to help with Health Sciences, Paleontology, Space Sciences and the Discovery Learning Center.
