Denver Museum of Nature & Science Announces 2008 Free Days, Upcoming Temporary Exhibit and IMAX Film 

DENVER—December 4, 2007—The Denver Museum of Nature & Science will offer eight Free Days in 2008, all of which are made possible through the generous funding of the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). They are:

  • Wednesday, January 16
  • Sunday, April 20
  • Saturday, May 3
  • Wednesday, June 25
  • Wednesday, August 13
  • Sunday, September 7
  • Wednesday, October 22
  • Sunday, December 7

 

Early 2008 will also be a busy time at the Museum with the release of a new IMAX film, and the opening of a new temporary exhibit. 

 

The Alps

Opens Friday, January 11, 2008

Phipps IMAX Theater

Set in the breathtaking grandeur of the Swiss Alps, this IMAX film follows the story of American climber John Harlin III as he returns to the mountain that claimed his father’s life some 40 years before, the fearsome Eiger. Featuring spectacular giant screen images, The Alps takes viewers on a visual tour of Switzerland where they will visit charming mountain-top villages, ride the high-altitude glacier express train, and experience first-hand what it is like to climb the North Face of the Eiger. The Alps runs through June 5, 2008.
