The Museum is located in City Park, approximately three miles east of downtown Denver, at the intersection of Montview and Colorado Boulevards.

Directions By Car

From the North
Take I-25 south to I-70 (Exit 214), then take I-70 east to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards.

From the South
Take I-25 north to Colorado Boulevard (Exit 204). Go north on Colorado Boulevard for five miles. Turn left (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards (five blocks north of the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Colfax Avenue).

From the East
Take I-70 west to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards.

From the West
Take I-70 east to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and Montview Boulevards.

Directions By Bus

RTD buses #20, #32, #40, and DD stop near the Museum on Colorado and Montview Boulevards. For specific information, call RTD at 303.299.6000, 1.800.366.RIDE, or visit RTD's Web site.

Parking & Entrances

FREE PARKING!

Main Parking Lot
The Main Parking Lot is located on the north side of the Museum, facing City Park’s ball fields. Parking spaces for those with disabilities are available close to the Museum's main entrance.

Underground Parking Garage
The entrance to the Underground Parking Garage is on the west side of the Museum’s north parking lot, by the main entrance. There are 550 underground spaces on two levels, including multiple spots for those with disabilities.

Additional Parking
Additional Parking is located on the east side of the Museum, facing Colorado Boulevard, and to the south of the Museum, along the access road that intersects 17th Avenue. There is also parking along E. 22nd Avenue just north of the main lot, along Lake Avenue to the west of the Museum, and just north of the Denver Zoo in City Park.

Bike Racks
A bike rack is located on the north side of the Museum, just in front of the main entrance and on Level 2 of the parking garage, near the elevators.

Main Entrance
The Main Entrance (#1 on the Parking Map) is located on the north side of the building. It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m daily.

IMAX® Evening Entrance
The IMAX Evening Entrance (#2 on the Parking Map) is located on the east side of the building, facing Colorado Boulevard. It opens at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

School Entrance
The School Entrance (#3 on the Parking Map) is located on the south side of the building. It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for school groups only.

Ricketson Auditorium & Evening Entrance
The Ricketson Auditorium & Evening Entrance (#4 on the Parking Map) is located on the west side of the building, facing City Park. It opens at 6:15 p.m. for evening lectures and events.
