Special fossil-fun programming scheduled throughout the
day
DENVER-October 8, 2012-The Denver Museum of
Nature & Science invites families and visitors of all ages to
celebrate National Fossil Day during SCFD Free Day on Sunday,
October 14. Museum visitors will enjoy special fossil-fun
activities, arts and crafts, dance performances, and more.

Make a trilobite mask and dig for trilobites in the Discovery
Zone.
Using clues, go on a hunt for mammoths and mastodons.
See and touch gems, minerals, and rocks from the Museum's
collections.
Learn some rocking dance steps from Community-Minded Dance.
It's been two years since the Ice Age fossil site was discovered
near Snowmass Village. See some of the iconic specimens from the
site on display in Prehistoric Journey.
Enjoy face painting, Secrets of the Dioramas Tours, and Mr.
Bones, the giant walking dinosaur skeleton.
