New Member Night October 27: Treasures From the Collections

Any new members out there? Please join us from 6 - 9 PM this Thursday evening, October 27th, as the museum hosts a free New Member Night event. It is a wonderful opportunity to get a look at collections and projects that are happening behind-the-scenes.

The Department of Anthropology will feature treasures from the collection which are normally kept in our storage rooms. Did you know that only 1.5% of the DMNS Anthropology collection is currently on display? Well here's your chance to get a first hand look at some of those rarely seen items. Pieces will include embroidered silk shoes from China, a Jivaro feather headdress from Ecuador, a Yoruba headdress from Nigeria, and several other objects from around the world.
