Please join the Adult Programs and Anthropology Departments in
welcoming Vince Collison on Thursday, April 26th at noon for a
special film screening and talk. Everything Was Carved, a
film on the behind-the-scenes work at the Pitt Rivers Museum in
Oxford with representatives of the Haida Nation, will be shown and
Collison will then speak to the subjects raised in the film: museum
collections and integrating indigenous community voices. Collison
is the Cultural Coordinator for the T'aalan Stl'ang
Cultural Camp, Old Massett Village Council for the Haida Nation on
Haida Gwaii. He has participated in many repatriations and
consultations on ancestral remains and cultural heritage around the
world.
This film and lecture are free with museum admission.
