Welcome Julie!

We're pleased to welcome Julie Parker to the Conservation Department! Julie is the Save America's Treasures Conservator. For the next year, she will be stabilizing artifacts from our Anthropology Department in preparation for their move into the new Rocky Mountain Science Collections Center. The beaded pouches you see in the photo, for example, have some loose parts that need a little care so they stay attached. Julie will also be working with a team of Anthropology staff and volunteers to make protective storage boxes and mounts for the collections. We're sure Julie will be working with a lot of interesting artifacts, and we hope to feature some of her work in these updates from time to time.
