60 Minutes in Space - October 2013

Scientists from the Space Sciences Department at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science take you "behind the stories" using the best images and animation available to help understand the latest developments.

October 2013 –Dr. Dimitri Klebe travels into deep space to discuss two recent Hubble Space Telescope surveys - the CANDELS survey (Cosmic Assembly Near-infrared Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey) and the Frontiers Fields survey.
He also talks about Comet ISON’s travels and shows a cool video of a recent Coronal Mass Ejection captured by the Solar Dynamic Observatory.

Dr. Steve Lee brings us up to date on the latest mission news – Opportunity rover, Curiosity rover, the upcoming MAVEN launch, and the latest in commercial spaceflight news.
