Taste and the Digestive System: The complexity behind your decision to eat
 
Your decision to reach for the slice pizza that is right next to the bowl of tossed salad is the result of a multitude of conscious and subconscious factors. Surprisingly, hunger plays a comparatively small role. In this presentation, I will discuss how our bodies and our surroundings work in tandem to influence the kind of food and how much we choose to eat.
Jennifer Marie Stratford, PhD is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Rocky Mountain Taste and Smell Center, Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, Neuroscience Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her advisor is Tom Finger, PhD.
