Spider Survey Update
CSS participants have sent in over 30,000 spiders! The DMNS now has the largest collection of spiders in the state. During the first few years of the project, hundreds of people were trained through the CSS workshops and have sent specimens to the Museum. A team of on-site volunteers is busily identifying the CSS spiders down to genus and species. We have identified about 65 percent of the specimens sent in by participants.
