Assemblies

Assemblies allow large groups of students to engage in the same topic at the same time and interact with presenters in fun-filled educational activities. A large room is required, such as a gym or auditorium.

Enjoy a dynamic presentation with the “Hosts of Gross.” Using interactive audience activities, students will learn about the unpleasant things the human body does to stay healthy. Be a contestant on the game show JeopEARTHy! Learn about the Earth systems of atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere, and how energy, water, and carbon cycle through them. Play Energy Plinko, roll the Dice-cycles, and spin the Wheels of Carbon! Discover what you can do to keep the Earth Systems healthy.

  • Grades K–6

Investigate the animals of the prairie, foothill, wetland, and alpine ecosystems of the Rocky Mountain Region. Eat or be eaten while learning about the behavioral adaptations of prairie dogs. Top off your experience with an opportunity to see and touch Museum collections.

Find out what it takes to be an astronaut! Learn why and how humans first traveled to space. What exactly happens to the human body while living and working in a low gravity environment? This and more will be answered using unique, hands-on demonstrations and activities.

  • Grades 3–5

Blast off and take a field trip through our solar system. Become a junior astronaut as we travel billions of miles in one sitting. Your sightseeing tour begins at our only star, the sun, and continues to other celestial bodies in the Milky Way Galaxy. Don’t forget your oxygen tank!
