How We Breathe: Lung Lab

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

This program needs five tables for station materials and access to a sink. We utilize bleach for cleanup and latex balloons, so please notify us of any allergies. This program also requires 60 minutes to set up and 60 minutes to break down.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Examine anatomy and physiology to learn how we breathe. Conduct a gooey experiment to learn how mucus helps our respiratory system. Reveal why the heart and lungs must work so closely together, and what role alveoli play. Explore sheep lungs in-depth during small-group dissections.

Spanish-speaking educators may be available upon request.

FILL OUT THE AT YOUR SCHOOL REQUEST FORM ONLINE TODAY or call 303.370.6000, daily, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Payment in full is due 30 days before your program. If you book less than 30 days before the program, payment in full is due at the time of your reservation.  Reservations are required at least 21 days in advance. The Museum will send an e-mail with a payment reminder 45 days before the program. Upon payment, a receipt will be e-mailed to you along with details for your program.
