Join John Demboski PhD, curator of vertebrate zoology, for a special behind-the-scenes trip through the Museum’s bird and mammal collections. Hear the intriguing stories behind many fascinating specimens including Colorado’s last grizzly bear, the unlikely platypus, fantastic birds-of-paradise, and one of the largest eggs in the world. Dr. Demboski will explain how researchers, students, teachers, and even artists use the zoological collections on a daily basis to ask and answer scientific and societal questions.
