This hybrid 6-week course especially for secondary teachers is designed to give educators a more in-depth study of the brain and how that relates to topics of form and function, evolution, and applications for learning and teaching. This course is in partnership with the American Museum of Natural History and their Seminars on Science program.

Course Requirements

  • You must attend the three face-to-face sessions.
  • You must complete all assignments during the six-week online course, including the weekly assignments related to a specific topic and the weekly forum discussions with your fellow participants.

  • Online coursework (a weekly assignment and forum discussion) will take a total of 2 to 2.5 hours per week. Our intent is to make the assignments relevant to your planning and teaching.
  • Late work will not be accepted.
