4 week hybrid course
Course fee: $300
Upon successful completion of the course (all face-to-face meetings and online coursework) participants will receive 1.5 continuing education credits from the Colorado School of Mines (credit fee included in registration). No credit will be given if a participant does not complete the course.
Children cannot be accommodated in Teachers Professional Development Programs; no exceptions. Participants who arrive with children will not be admitted to the program. Previous Mission Cognition participants are not allowed to take the course again.
This course is designed to further your understanding of current research about the mechanics of how humans learn and process information including aspects of memory, emotions, movement. We’ll demonstrate how these studies can make a difference in the way you teach your students. Guest speakers, activities to build critical thinking and inquiry, and ways to make the practice of thinking like a scientist more overt for students will lead to making cognitive learning more meaningful in our daily teaching practice.
This hybrid course is designed for teachers of grades 4–12 and P.E. Teachers
This is a repeat course. Former participants cannot receive credit.
