For practicing Pre-K to grade 1 teachers

Children cannot be accommodated in Teachers Professional Development Programs; no exceptions. Participants who arrive with children will not be admitted to the program.
Children love to roll balls down ramps, but do they know that they are investigating physics? The physical sciences are already engaging and fun for children. Come and explore how forces work and learn how to elevate your students' ramp play to the next level by controlling variables and doing investigations. Join us for an inquiry approach to science that includes playful explorations, literacy connections, and hands-on lesson ideas that you can use in your class tomorrow!

All programs require payment at time of registration. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the event.

Can I take this workshop for credit?
No. We do not offer college credit for Science Tidbits; however,
the 2.5 training hours count toward professional development
required by the state for licensed child care providers.
Will I receive a certificate of hours?
Yes. If you attend the entire 2.5 hour session, you will receive
a certificate prior to leaving.
Do I have to attend all Tidbits sessions?
No, you may come to the workshops of your choice; however, we do
encourage you to attend all of the Tidbits to help build your ECE
learning community and increase your science teaching knowledge and
If I attended Ramps and Rollers in the spring, should I attend again?
No, this will be a repeat of the Ramps and Rollers Tidbits workshop.
