This workshop will focus on understanding the difference between a rock and a mineral. We will teach you to build on children's natural tendencies to collect and sort the rocks they find.

Join us for an inquiry approach to science that includes playful exploration, planned investigations, and tips on providing intentional support for the development of science process skills. In this workshop we explore Earth Systems Science by building on children's interests in rocks. Our focus is on understanding the difference between a rock and a mineral, and using a variety of ways to sort and classify.
