  • If you choose to take this course for noncredit, you will receive a certificate of hours completed.
  • If you choose to take this course for credit, 1 continuing education credit is available through the Colorado School of Mines. 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Attendance at Simply Science I recommended but not required.
  • During the workshop you will be expected to be an active participant for both days.
  • Children cannot be accommodated in Teachers Professional Development Programs; no exceptions. Participants who arrive with children will not be admitted to the program.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Learn to apply science inquiry techniques to pique your kids’ curiosity in your early childhood classroom. Experience inquiry first-hand in City Park, engage in hands-on investigations to use in your classroom, talk with Museum scientists, and explore the Museum in new ways. This July, join us at the Museum for Simply Science II, a professional development opportunity unlike any you’ve experienced before!

PAYMENT

All programs require payment at time of registration. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the event.

    Do I have to take this course for credit?

    No, you may take SSII for ECE annual training hours only, for a total of 15 hours.

    Do I have to attend both days?

    Yes, to receive credit and/or a certificate of hours, you are required to attend and participate in the activities on both days, from the beginning to the end of each session.

    May I take the materials and distribute them to my staff?

    No. The course materials are designed to link Museum resources to classroom activities. Individual teachers must participate in the course themselves to receive the full benefit.
