Simply Science II

COST

$25 for noncredit. If you choose to take this course for noncredit, you will receive a certificate of hours completed.
$70 credit fee for 1 continuing education credit, available through the Colorado School of Mines.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • You must not have previously taken Simply Science II. 
  • During the workshop you will be expected to be an active participant.
  • Children cannot be accommodated in Teachers Professional Development Programs; no exceptions. Participants who arrive with children will not be admitted to the program.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

In this follow-up workshop to Simply Science II, you will continue to build your science content knowledge while learning how to incorporate more science inquiry into your classroom. You will also have time to collaborate, brainstorm, and discuss ways to apply concepts from Simply Science I.

    No, you may take SSII for ECE annual training hours only, for a total of 15 hours.

    Yes, to receive credit and/or a certificate of hours, you are required to attend and participate in the activities on both days, from the beginning to the end of each session.

    May I take the materials and distribute them to my staff?

    No. The course materials are designed to link Museum resources to classroom activities. Individual teachers must participate in the course themselves to receive the full benefit.
