In this webinar, science teachers at all levels are invited to learn how to deepen their students’ learning experiences by using more rigorous approaches to science inquiry. Participants will

  • understand how the Next Generation Science Standards challenge science teachers to increase student engagement in meaningful ways.
  • consider how research on cognitive demand can inform the design of inquiry tasks.
  • learn strategies and routines to maximize rigor as you facilitate classroom inquiry.

 

Wendy Ward Hoffer is the author of Science as Thinking (Heinemann, 2009) and works with science and math teachers around the country to find successful ways to deepen student understanding.
