Military
All active duty, retired military and veterans of the United States—with proof of military service—and their spouses and dependent children (18 and under) receive Free Museum admission and a 10% discount on Museum memberships. A separate fee still applies to IMAX, Planetarium and temporary exhibitions.

- On the day of your arrival, pick up tickets from a cashier or any Museum Kiosk.

Payment by credit card is required at the time of sale. The Museum accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
At the Museum
- Tickets may be purchased from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Museum’s ticket counter inside the main (north) entrance.
- If you arrive after 5:00 p.m. for an IMAX film Friday and Saturday, tickets must be purchased at the ticket window inside the east entrance to Phipps IMAX Theater starting at 5:30 p.m.
- Cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted forms of payment.
- Members may purchase tickets at the Members Desk, located opposite the ticket counter inside the main (north) entrance.
Please note: Long lines often form on weekends and holidays. Please arrive roughly an hour before an IMAX film or Planetarium show is scheduled to begin to ensure enough time for parking and purchasing tickets. If you know you will be visiting ahead of time, tickets may be purchased in advance. |
