Flex Tickets FAQ
Flex Tickets are a Giving Club-exclusive membership benefit and may be used to attend any surcharged exhibition, as well as any show, event, or program that costs $20 or less. No advance reservations are needed, and your Flex Ticket will get you in even if the program is “sold out.” Timed ticket reservations are required.
Giving Club members receive Flex Tickets which are purposefully designed to be flexible. You may continue to use your Flex Tickets without needing to make a reservation for most programs priced $20 or less. Flex Tickets cannot be used for entry into the exhibition.
Flex Tickets can be used for:
- Many After Hours lectures and on-site and virtual events.
- Free access to surcharged temporary exhibits. No advanced registration is required. You're guaranteed admission even if the exhibit or event is sold out! Timed ticket reservations are required.
- IMAX and Planetarium shows
- Many Family programs and more!
- ECard: In the eCard go to “My Tickets” and select “Get Ticket” from your Ticket Balance. When you arrive, the ticket scanner will scan your electronic ticket.
- Webstore: In the webstore log in and select “Logged In: View Account” at the top of the page. From there, select “Membership Benefits” and redeem a ticket. When using this option, please print your tickets and bring them with you or have the emailed tickets available electronically. Don’t have an online Museum account? Create an account using your member number and last name.
- Onsite: Stop by the Ticketing desk on your next visit to have you Flex Tickets printed.
With a Flex Ticket in hand there is no need to stop by the Ticketing Desk. Simply arrive at the time of your event or show, join the entrance queue and show your ticket to the ticket scanner.
Yes, all membership benefits, including any unused Flex Tickets, expire at the end of your annual membership period. All benefits associated with the level of your membership are automatically reloaded when your membership is renewed.
