In The Know

Member Tip: Know Before You Go

If you haven’t yet visited since we reopened in June, your experience will look and feel different than your last Museum visit. Due to COVID-19, we’re taking extra precautions—from physical distancing to increased disinfecting—as we look forward to inspiring curiosity and imagination. Together, we can navigate the changes that help keep us all safe and healthy.

Below are a few things to know before you go to help ensure the best possible experience for everyone:

  • If you are not feeling well, stay home and enjoy a Museum visit another day, or visit dmns.org/learn for fun, virtual videos and activities.
  • Members are strongly encouraged to obtain their free tickets in advance online.  Your tickets will automatically load to your eCard and we will email them to you.
  • When visiting during the holidays:
    • If you have Flex Tickets, move them to “ready to use” in your eCard.
    • Weekday late afternoons and weekend early mornings tend to be less busy.
    • Our rideshare partner Lyft offers new users $5 off three rides when you use code DMNSNEW.
    • The Museum is closed on Dec. 25.

Future of Catalyst

Thank you to everyone who was part of the amazing response to our survey on the future of “Catalyst.” In response to that feedback, we developed a more robust digital version with tons of additional content! And keep an eye out for a follow up survey next month where we’ll check in on your reaction to the improved digital edition.

Strategic Plan Updates

Nearby Nature

Redevelopment of a small playground near the Museum in City Park, in partnership with Denver Parks and Recreation, continues and has reached another exciting phase. A design firm has been selected. They have surveyed the land and are incorporating community feedback into their design concepts.

Future First

Over the past year we've worked with community to both develop a concept for a new 20,000 square foot exhibit experience that will allow guests to choose an adventure and be driven by their curiosity, as well as dream up the transformation of Coors Gems and Mineral Hall into a cavern-inspired space that will feature more touchable specimens.
