A Polished Slice of the Brenham Meteorite

A polished slice of the Brenham Meteorite, a stony-iron pallasite with yellow-green olivine (peridot) crystals inside, found near Haviland, Kansas. This specimen, EGT.23.0, was given to the Museum by H. H. Nininger in 1932. It is one of about 20 masses found at the impact site, which cumulatively weigh around 2,000 pounds.
