A Day in Pompeii Enters Its Final Weeks at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Less Than Four Weeks Remain to See the Blockbuster Exhibition

Denver—December 18, 2012—The Denver Museum of Nature & Science invites visitors to experience A Day in Pompeii before it closes on January 13. More than 100,000 visitors have enjoyed getting an insider's glimpse into the daily life—and tragic end—of this ancient Roman city that was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79.

• Friday,      December 21–Sunday, January 13 (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day,      New Year’s Eve, and Thursday, January 10)

*The last timed ticket will be issued at 5:30 p.m.

Exhibition Highlights

What nature destroyed, it also preserved. On display are archaeological treasures that lay buried in Pompeii's ruins as if sealed in a time capsule. Exceptional artifacts, digital re-creations, activity carts, and historical enactors provide a fascinating look at life in the ancient Roman Empire of Pompeii.
