DENVER—April 11, 2015 - The Colorado Music Hall of Fame (CMHOF), a non-profit organization founded in 2011 to inspire music fans with the power of Colorado music history, announced that George Sparks the President and CEO of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, has joined the board of directors.

Sparks’ passion is educational public policy, particularly around STEAM (adding Arts to the traditional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). George is currently work-ing with the Smithsonian Science Education Center to bring their science curriculum to schools in Colorado. He is a member of Colorado Concern and the Colorado Forum, and serves on the boards of the Denver Foundation, Colorado Legacy Foundation, Visit Denver, Mountain States Employers Council, Rose Community Foundation’s Ed-ucation Committee, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Bright Beginnings (emeritus), and the Public Education and Business Coalition (emeritus). He is also on the United States Committee of the International Council of Museums.

CMHOF chairman Chuck Morris welcomed Sparks. “George has been responsible for developing the Denver Museum of Nature & Science into one of the finest resources in the country. His addition to our varied and accomplished board of directors is a his-toric moment for CMHOF.”
