Dinosaur Gulch children’s play area debuting at Cherry Creek Shopping Center to encourage interest in nature and science.

DENVER – Nov. 16 – The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, in partnership with Cherry Creek Shopping Center, will celebrate the grand opening of the Museum’s first off-site exhibition for early learners at the shopping center’s children’s play area on Saturday, Nov. 21. The newly branded Dinosaur Gulch play area will feature soft, climbable play structures modeled after dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus rex and Ankylosaurus.

“We’re excited to bring this free Museum experience into the community where they already eat, shop and play,” said George Sparks, president and CEO of the Museum. “And I hope Dinosaur Gulch will inspire families to explore nature and science together.”

“We love aligning with brands like the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and share in their excitement to offer innovative experiences that connect with the community,” said Nick LeMasters, general manager of Cherry Creek Shopping Center. “We believe their integration with our children’s play area is an extremely unique and relevant way to expose our shoppers to all that the Museum has to offer.”

Members of the media are invited to attend the grand-opening celebration on Nov. 21 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Cherry Creek Shopping Center, 3000 E. 1st Ave., Denver. In addition to Sparks, brief remarks will be offered by Maile Diaz, a seven-year-old Museum member; Nick LeMasters, Cherry Creek Shopping Center general manager; and Dr. Scott Sampson, Museum vice president of research and collections, aka Dr. Scott of Dinosaur Train.
