DMNS is pleased to announce the addition of Rick Ambrose to its board of trustees

DENVER ― The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the region’s leading resource for informal science education, is pleased to announce the addition of Rick Ambrose to its board of trustees.

Ambrose is the executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Space and an officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation. He has nearly 40 years of experience in the defense and aerospace industry.

“We are excited to welcome Rick onto the board,” said George Sparks, president and CEO of the Museum. “We’re fortunate to add Rick’s experience and energy to our board as we position the Museum to connect with more and diverse people around nature and science in ways that are meaningful to them.”

“Lockheed Martin has proudly supported the Denver Museum of Nature & Science for more than three decades through STEM programming grants and countless hours of skills-based volunteerism by our talented employees,” Ambrose said. “The institution is a flagship for instilling curiosity and knowledge in individuals of all ages, and I look forward to dedicating my own passion to help fuel the Museum’s future innovations.”

Ambrose chairs the Board of Directors for United Launch Alliance and was a 2017 recipient of the National Defense Industrial Association Space Division Peter B. Teets Award. He is also a National Association of Corporate Directors Governance Fellow, a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and an International Academy of Astronautics Full Academician. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver.
