Life in Low-Earth Orbit with Astronaut Kjell Lindgren Friday, May 24 3 p.m. Ricketson Auditorium Free NASA astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgren is returning to Colorado! Lindgren will describe his experiences as a flight engineer aboard the International Space Station during the Expedition 44/45 mission. He logged 141 days in space, successfully completed two spacewalks, and conducted more than a hundred different scientific experiments. Hear about his experiences in low-earth orbit and his perspective on the future of human exploration of the moon and beyond. Lindgren is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado State University, and the University of Colorado Medical School. He worked as a flight surgeon at NASA’s Johnson Space Center before being selected as an astronaut in 2009. After the program, enjoy a meet-and-greet with Lindgren.
