DENVER, Colo. (November 2025) — The Denver Museum of Nature & Science invites guests to step into a world of light, sound and surprise with Magical Winter Nights, a dazzling new holiday experience transforming familiar spaces of the Museum. Now open and running through Jan. 4, 2026, this after-hours event invites guests to embark on a whimsical journey through select areas of the Museum. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring their favorite holiday socks for this indoor, self-paced and enchanting adventure.

From a moonlit savanna under sparkling stars to an indoor Northern Lights display, guests can journey through an evening of awe and adventure, complete with hot cocoa, cocktails and plenty of photo-worthy moments. 

Highlights include: 

  • The Lodge: Cozy fireside vibes with cocoa and cocktails for purchase 

  • The Frosted Path: Indoor sock skating illuminated by dazzling light projections 

  • Evergreen Hideaway: A Colorado-inspired forest with postcard-perfect photo ops 

  • Celestial Canopy: A mesmerizing Northern Lights display indoors 

  • Glacier Groove: A penguin-hosted dance party 

  • Village Shop: Curated holiday gifts and keepsakes 

“This experience is full of holiday surprises,” said Jill Schladweiler, director of operations for Magical Winter Nights at the Museum. “We wanted to create an indoor holiday experience in a section of the Museum where families and friends can come together to discover the magic of the season together. From dazzling aurora borealis to a penguin dance party, you can expect to discover the Museum like never before!”

This event runs nightly from 4–9 or 10 p.m., excluding select blackout dates: Nov. 22-24, 27, Dec. 1, 8, 15 & 25. Adult-only 21+ nights on Dec. 4, 11 & 18.
