Be the First to Know: Pokémon Trainers Can Sign Up Now for Early Access to Tickets

DENVER—Oct. 6, 2026—The Denver Museum of Nature & Science announced today that Pokémon Fossil Museum, a special exhibition that compares Fossil Pokémon from the popular Pokémon video game series with ancient life forms found in real-world fossils, will open to the public on Friday, May 28, 2027, as part of its North American tour, which launched in May at Chicago’s Field Museum. Pokémon Trainers can sign up now at dmns.org/pokemon to be among the first to access tickets before they go on sale to the general public and receive other exhibition updates.

Sign Up Early, Get Access First

Early sign-ups at dmns.org/pokemon are encouraged and will receive exclusive pre-sale access to tickets before they are available to the general public.

“Pokémon Fossil Museum offers a unique way to engage guests of all ages with paleontological science,” said Patrick O’Connor, director of Earth & Space Sciences at the Museum. “By pairing familiar Pokémon with actual fossils from natural history, we’re creating a unique entry point for learning about prehistoric life and the scientific process of studying fossils.”

The exhibition showcases real fossils and specimen casts, including a cast of the iconic SUE the T. rex skull, displayed alongside well-known Pokémon such as Tyrantrum, a Rock/Dragon-type Pokémon whose massive jaws can demolish a car. Guests can explore how fossils are found and studied in both the Pokémon and real worlds while examining the similarities and differences between the specimens and sculptures.

The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition was created by the Field Museum in Chicago, the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo, and The Pokémon Company International.
