Support our mission with your Colorado state income tax refund! If you get a state income tax refund in 2020, you will have a new opportunity to donate some or all of it to support our ongoing work in the community.
The new program described by the ReFUND CO initiative puts you in charge of where your donation goes. It’s as simple as 1,2,3:
1. Decide how much of your refund to donate.
2. Enter Denver Museum of Nature & Science and our registration number 20023005539 in the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund line on your state income tax return or tax software – or just give this info to your tax preparer when you share your tax documents.
3. Smile knowing you’ve helped a cause that matters to you!
With this new program, you can re-energize our important work for another year. Learn more about this program at RefundWhatMatters.org. As always, we’re grateful for your past support and hope you’ll consider donating again through this new program to maintain our mission.
You have the opportunity to ensure the Denver Museum of Nature & Science continues to be a catalyst for future generations and empowers a community that loves, understands, and protects our natural world. With your help, our exhibits, programs, research, and collections will evolve and offer opportunities for discovery—for minds young and old. It's easier than you might think, and you've come to the right place to learn more. Take a look around and find the gift plan that best fits your estate and financial plans.
Each year, the Museum draws large audiences to its world-class temporary exhibitions, which receive widespread publicity throughout the Denver metro area. Sponsorship of these premier opportunities offers companies the highest level of visibility and closest association with the Museum.
The Museum serves more than 300,000 schoolchildren each year through free Museum visits, an array of science education programs, scholarships for underserved schools, distance learning, and teacher professional development opportunities. Support for these programs is vital to encouraging children to tap into the power of science and creating a vibrant Colorado community.
Annual event sponsorship opportunities are available for companies looking for additional visibility and opportunities to entertain clients and reward employees. The signature fundraising gala, Museum After Dark, sells out each fall, with 750 guests. The Science Lounge series-geared toward young adults-and other events for a variety of audiences are also available for sponsorship.
Other Ways to Give
Support the artifacts, exhibits, and experiences you love by donating your car, boat, motorcycle, truck or RV to the Museum. Donating is quick and easy, and provides you with a charitable tax-deduction.
How does it work?
Fill out this form and our partner, Cars Helping Charities, will be in contact about scheduling a convenient time to tow your vehicle. Once your vehicle has been received, it will be sold at an auto auction and you will receive a tax-receipt for the full amount of the purchase price.
All you need are your keys and the vehicle title. We’ll take care of the rest!
