“Brick Planet: A magical journey made with LEGO® bricks” takes you on an imaginative journey around the world through the lens of artist Sean Kenney’s sculptures built with LEGO® bricks. Explore our planet’s unique ecosystems, brought to life through colorful, playful environments where nature provides the building blocks for creative inspiration and scientific discovery. From towering polar bears and coral reefs to bustling cities and African savannas, you will feel a renewed sense of wonder for the rich balance of life that binds ecosystems and their inhabitants. Enjoy plenty of hands-on opportunities, from building LEGO® brick creations to sketching journals and playing a magnetized game. Free with Museum admission, the exhibition’s content is bilingual in English and Spanish.
The exhibition was created by award-winning artist Sean Kenney in partnership with Imagine and Science North.

Meet the Artist
The journey begins with a whimsical 2D LEGO® self-portrait and Sean’s playful Magic Bike, which invites guests to imagine new adventures.

Our Planet
Colorful sculptures — including a peacock, Galápagos tortoise, monarch on milkweed, dodo and caterpillar — set the stage for the exhibition.

Polar Brrrricks
Step into the icy extremes of the Arctic and Antarctic, surrounded by atmospheric soundscapes.

Walk in the Woods
Explore a bustling deciduous forest filled with deer, spiders, snakes, mice and more.

Savanna Crossing
In this immersive gallery, guests encounter zebras, wildebeest and Sean’s poignant Disappearing Rhino.

Ocean Odyssey
Dive into the “rainforests of the sea” with a coral reef, a swirling school of fish and a hatching sea turtle.

Connect in the City
This gallery explores the intersection of nature and urban life with sculptures of the Empire State Building, Times Square and the Eiffel Tower.

Our Own Backyard
The exhibition concludes with sculptures of gardeners, pollinators and neighborhood scenes.
