SPECIAL EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LICENSURE RENEWAL

As a result of the passage of HB 20-1128 and HB 20-1312 during the 2020 legislative session, educators are now required to complete a minimum of 10 contact hours of training in special education and behavioral health in order to renew their professional license that expires on or after June 30, 2025.

HOW WE AT DMNS CAN HELP:

Once a PreK-12 educator, school or district has identified a prevention focused target using the PBIS Framework, we can provide professional development workshops and courses (single or ongoing) utilizing evidence-based Mind & Brain in Education approaches.
 
These approaches allow educators to learn and apply field-tested strategies derived from research in psychology and neuroscience to their practice. Although some of our offerings are about cognitive development, many of them are about social-emotional development and mental health.

  4. The Adolescent Brain : Using the superhero strengths and vulnerabilities to promote mental health & well-being
