Spring Festival with Excalibur Outreach

Excalibur Outreach Spring Fest is a joyful community celebration welcoming the arrival of spring through family fun, connection, and kindness. Centered around The Great Easter Egg Hunt, Spring Fest brings together children, parents, volunteers, and local partners for an uplifting day filled with activities, seasonal traditions, and community spirit. 
 
This event is designed to reach underserved families, local neighborhoods, and youth throughout the Arvada and greater Denver metro area, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience a safe, exciting, and memorable springtime celebration—regardless of financial circumstances. 

Northern Colorado Children’s Festival

The Northern Colorado Children’s Festival is a free, family-focused event that provides hands-on learning and educational resources to children and their caregivers across Weld County and Northern Colorado. Arvada Kite Festival

Soaring kites! Colorful kites! Majestic kites! There’s no better way to celebrate spring than the Arvada Kite Festival. Bring your own kite or buy a kite at the event. 

Plan to spend the day flying kites, shopping local vendors, eating great food and listening to good music. Bring your chairs or blankets and plan on staying the day.

Longmont Earth Day

Dinosaur Express Train

Dinosaur Express Train is our Dinosaur Educational Event at the Colorado Railroad Museum. We put on this event because it combines some of the favorite topics for small children. Our goal with this event is to bring in families to enjoy and participate in the culture at the museum, and be given the option to learn about Dinosaurs. We also invite other museums in the Colorado area like Dinosaur Ridge and Morrison Natural History Museum, as well as performers like Mr. Bones. We also host a scavenger hunt and coloring activities for kids! 

CO Talking Book Library Summer Kickoff

The Colorado Talking Book Library, the library that provides library services to any Coloradoans who are unable to read standard print as a result of a visual, physical, or reading disability, will be kicking off Unearth A Story, Summer Reading 2026 with an afternoon of paleontology and dinosaur themed activities outside the library in our parking lot.

Summer Reading Program at the Lafayette Library

The Lafayette Library holds special events every Saturday in the Summer to support our summer reading program. Our theme for this year is a celebration of 150 years as a State. We hosted the Curiosity Cruiser last year and it was a huge success. We primarily see families of all ages at these events and are looking to support early literacy and STEAM goals with this program. 

Juneteenth Music Festival

This event honors Juneteenth, the day when the last of the nations enslaved people learned of their freedom.

The event is a family-friendly Halloween event. We have various elements of Halloween fun, food trucks, a market, water slides, and entertainment for the family. Your discovery station would be part of the fun. The goal is to entertain and educate guests. Aspen Grove has a website and social channels. 

Trunk or Treat with National Western

Trunk or Treat Streat on NWC Campus.  This will be the 4th year that we can provide Trick or Treating for GES families in the area to make it a safe space. Market at the Center is an emerging monthly market hosted at the National Western Center in partnership with CSU Spur’s Second Saturdays, designed specifically with early-stage and growing vendors in mind.
