Field Course for PreK-12 Educators, family members & friends age 12 and older

Recharge your spirit and elevate your teaching with a three-day, two-night retreat at CU Boulder’s historic Mountain Research Station, designed specifically for PreK–12 educators and their adult guests! Coordinated by an expert Museum educator and featuring inspiring guest facilitators from Colorado’s vibrant environmental education community, this field course offers an intentional balance of professional growth and personal restoration - giving you a much-deserved opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature. Together, we’ll explore hands-on citizen science projects tied directly to Colorado’s ecosystems and climate change, all anchored to Colorado’s Seal of Climate Literacy Framework. You'll return to your classroom equipped with authentic scientific inquiry tools that build student competencies for high-demand careers, higher education pathways, and community leadership, all while having experienced a deeply rejuvenating getaway in the Rockies.

 
This course will provide 1.5 graduates credit for educators who want them. Check back soon for more information on this credit earning opportunity.  Participants seeking graduate credit must attend a half day virtual training on June 26, 2027.  Additional fees will be required for those seeking graduate credit.
