Garden Support Volunteer Opportunities

The Garden Support volunteer opportunity is closed for 2025, but we look forward to welcoming new applicants in February 2026.

Volunteering in this position doesn’t require a green thumb or a background in plant science—just bring your enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to help!

This position runs through Fall 2026 and offers a unique opportunity to support the Museum in a hands-on, outdoor role. Volunteers help care for the potted flowers on the north side of the Museum and assist with maintaining planting areas on the west and south sides as well.

Responsibilities include preparing garden spaces in the spring and summer, watering, weeding, and performing general plant maintenance throughout the season.

Garden Support Volunteer Spring to Fall

Volunteering in this position doesn’t require a green thumb or a plant science background. Just bring your enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to help.

Garden Support Volunteers will help maintain the potted flowers on the north side of the Museum and the flowers on the west and east sides of the building. They will assist with prepping the space in the spring and caring for it throughout the summer and fall. This is a unique opportunity for those looking to support the Museum in a new way and put their green thumb to work (though a green thumb is not required)!
